Metadata Ingest

When in File mode, StPlayer automatically ingests metadata to enable geo-related queries.

If the stream contains multiple KLV PIDs, all of them are ingested. However, geo queries will be performed using the currently selected PID.

The number of ingested packets and any ingest errors are displayed on the File Info page:

🧪 Ingest Packet Sampling

Ingesting all metadata for large files can be time-consuming and require significant storage. It also slows down geo-query calculations.

To optimize performance, you can enable packet sampling by defining a minimum interval (in milliseconds) between ingested packets.
